First install attempt was unsuccessful (I believe it's because I didn't use 'Run as Administrator' when I first ran Setup.exe). I had no Link/Activity LED's.- Although the adapter may work for some without the drivers, they were required for my work laptop.- I had to uninstall the driver from Control Panel as well as the device from Device Manager.- I recommend installing the driver before plugging in the adapter.- Right-click the 'Setup.exe' file and select 'Run as Administrator' (even if your user account is Administrator, follow this step anyway)- Connect the adapter and then connect an ethernet cable to it.- Unplug/Plug the adapter from USB after the first connection if you don't have any Link/Activity LED's.
